- The
person responsible to approve messages for release receives an e-mail notification that a message awaits their approval. A link to the
cia web-site is provided.

- The message can be reviewed on the
cia web-site. Upon review, the option to
Approve or Deny the distribution of the message can be selected.
- "Approved Messages" - Approved recordings will be blasted out during standard delivery
hours, or at a time you designate.
- "Denied Messages" - The Supervisory Analyst (SA), or
Compliance Officer has several options when they select the "Deny" option. They may select
a rejection statement from a drop-down box that contains standard responses such as "Non-Issue",
"Inconsistent with Report", etc. Or, a free text field is available to type a custom message to
the author of the recording. Upon selecting a statement or completing the free text field,
the person who recorded the message receives an e-mail notifying them that their message has
failed Compliance Approval, which contains the response from the SA/Compliance Officer.
